Following an extremely
long, but successful excursion to sort out a French telephone, I was beeped by
a passing car, which had pulled alongside me on the pavement. The man asked me
if I wanted a lift. Dumfounded by this out of the blue proposition, I examined
the man a little closer and remembered his a one of the many restaurant owners
in Fumel that I had asked about Wi-Fi. I gladly accepted the lift and we
engaged in a fairly fluent conversation mainly about rugby. After thanking him
for the lift and promising to eat in his sandwich bar soon, I all of a sudden
felt like the town had accepted me. Earlier, the lady from my first choice
Wi-Fi bar had told me that I could come and use the Internet in the bar without
having to order anything. Clearly I’m making waves amongst the locals.
Apres un voyage très
long mais avec beaucoup de succès pour organiser un téléphone, une voiture me
klaxonne et s’arrête a coté de moi. L’homme offre de me conduire en ville. Apres
avoir réfléchi un peu, je lui souviens comme propréteur d’un des restaurants à
Fumel que j’ai demandé de Wi-Fi donc j’ai accepte l’offre. Nous parlons du
rugby avec casualité et je promets de manger chez lui. Apres ce rencontre très
rare et très court, je me sens toute de suite comme si le village m’avait
accepté. Plus tôt, la femme de mon bar Wi-Fi préféré m’a dit que je peux
utiliser internet chez elle sans acheter d’une pression. Evidemment je fais une
présence parmi les villageois.
Después
de un viaje muy largo por arreglarme un móvil, un coche paró al lado del calle
y ofreció de conducirme en pueblo. Tenía que pensar un poco antes de
reconocerle como barrista de uno de los bares en Fumel que he pedido el
internet. Entonces, le permití conducirme al pueblo y hablamos como amigos
sobre el rugby. Después de darle gracias y prometer de comer en su bar, vuelvo
a mi casa pensando en que los residentes me han bienvenido por fin. Mas temprano
el mismo día, la mujer de mi bar Wi-Fi preferido me ha dicho que puedo usar el
internet sin comprar una caña como siempre. Debo de hacer un nombre entre los
residentes.
